Magnificent Butter Dish with branches and roses lid, produced by Herend - “ Chinese Bouquet” Collection, Apponyi Green, in excellent to pristine condition. This butter dish is composed by a plate with attached cup for butter and a lovely cover lid with buds of roses on a branch, like knob, hand painted in green color, all around gold trimmed, along with the green “Fleurs des Indes” flowers, making a perfect piece for the most pretentious table. The origin of the pattern is associated with Count Albert Apponyi, for whom this simplified version of “ Fleurs des Indes” was first prepared in 1931. It is in excellent to pristine condition, tiny flake on a small bud, marked with blue Herend shield mark, NO cracks and NO repairs, please see the pictures as they are part of description !
