Commemorative silver coin minted by Australia to celebrate the inauguration of Parliament in Canberra in 1927. The obverse features the crowned portrait of George V looking to the left, with a full imperial legend. The reverse displays an elaborate composition with the Parliament building framed within an ornamental cartouche, accompanied by the value ONE FLORIN and the date highlighted in the central oval. A piece of great artistic quality and strong historical symbolism, with well-defined reliefs, an attractive silver tone, and a soft patina, considered one of the most emblematic commemorative issues of the Australian minting of the 20th century.
