Magnificent writing desk in blackened wood with an exquisite Boulle marquetry decoration.

Lock with an original working key but is only there as a decoration.

Non-lockable top, as you can see in the photos, the top is slightly curved, and the wood working prevents any locking.
This opens onto several interior compartments lined with red velvet.

The overall condition is good, with signs of wear from time and use, deformation of the wood, and some small missing pieces to note. Carefully examine the photos, as they serve as a description.
