Description from the seller

A cuvée hors d'âge (xo) signed La Favorite

This 1999 vintage has been aged for over 20 years in our cellars, and is now a very limited edition. Under the watchful eye of Franck Dormoy and Robert Charles, this Flibuste has undergone the longest ageing in oak barrels, which had previously been selected for their aromatic benefits. Once aged, this bottle is waxed and numbered by hand, which is what makes this product so rare and refined. An aged rum with complex aromas, this 70cl Flibuste offers spicy, gourmet notes on the nose, with a hint of honey and sweet fruit, plus a hint of wood and roasted notes. This extremely rich aromatic palette makes this premium rum an exceptional vintage. On the palate, the attack is rather round, with flavours of dark chocolate and dried fruit, while on the nose there is more of a hint of vanilla. This Flibuste rum finishes with pleasant woody and toasty notes of liquorice, which soften the fruity aromas.
