Kingdom of Italy – Postal Recognition Booklet (1916–1919)
Postal recognition booklet issued by the Post Administration of the Kingdom of Italy, number 396,510, issued to Tomo Carmela, aged 32, occupation owner. The document was issued in Taranto on November 13, 1916, with residence in Taranto, and is valid from November 13, 1916, to November 12, 1919, according to the three-year regulation of that time.
This is an original and complete postal identity document from the World War I period, used for personal identification at post offices. The booklet retains the original photograph of the holder, affixed with a wax seal and a tricolour cord, as well as the signatures of the holder and the Head of the Taranto Post Office, with an official stamp dated November 13, 1916.
All the expected internal sections are present: warnings, intact presentation coupons, and the physically described page filled out by hand (height 1.58 m; brown eyes; black hair; natural complexion; regular nose; round chin; no particular marks).
