Christofle - Tureen - Medium/large sized tureen, model Vendôme - Silverplated

A large and excellent silver plated tureen, measuring circa 36.8cm in length and weighing 1764g, the contoured edges decorated with triple bands., the handles sculpted as palmettes, the domed lid surmounted by a lathed finial. Stamped to the underside with maker´s marks of Christofle, Gallia Collection and cipher 30 indicating that 30 grams of pure silver was applied during the plating process.
The new price of smaller Christofle tureens exceeds €2000.

Condition: Very good, no damages or repairs. Miminal wear commensurate with very light use.
