Hand-painted shelf with drawer – Venetian/Italian style – mid-20th century

Elegant wall shelf in painted wood, characterized by a wavy line and golden decorations. The furniture features a sinuous shape with molded profiles and a shaped upper edge. In the center, there is a small rounded drawer with a round metal knob, flanked by two side open compartments. The front is enriched with stylized pictorial motifs and a decorative golden scroll at the bottom.

The original lacquer is olive green with gold details and decorative red fillets. The gilding shows a pleasant wear consistent with its age, giving the piece an authentic, lived-in charm (patina).

Estimated period: 1950s–1960s.

Style attributable to the Venetian/Italian tradition with Baroque and Rococo influences reinterpreted in a 20th-century decorative key.
