Commemorative coin issued by the Hungarian People's Republic to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the country's liberation in 1945. The obverse features the Hungarian socialist state emblem crowned by a star, flanked by the date 1975 and the legend MAGYAR NÉPKÖZTÁRSASÁG, with the denomination 200 FORINT prominently displayed at the bottom and the mintmark BP corresponding to Budapest. The reverse shows a powerful symbolic composition: a dove in flight, representing peace and freedom, soaring over the Liberation Monument of Budapest, accompanied by the inscription FELSZABADULÁS · 1945. The piece has a uniform satin finish, with well-defined reliefs and an aesthetic characteristic of socialist Europe’s commemorative numismatics of the second half of the 20th century.
