The pieces are from the María Estuardo set by Marinakis Bros, a Greek manufacturer of high quality. The pieces are made of bronze and plated in gold and silver. They are large in size: the king measures 10 cm, the pawn 6 cm, and the knight 9 cm, with a base diameter of 3.5 cm for all of them. They are very heavy; the king weighs 400 grams, and the pawn 100 grams, making the total weight of the set approximately 7 kg!!!!!.
The board is a very original bronze plate, measuring 45 cm in length, 45 cm in width, and 2 cm in thickness, with legs.
