Description from the seller
"QUE ROJO TAN VERDE" is a 70x100 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. In this painting, red becomes a stage and provocation. An intense, almost theatrical background surrounds a plate decorated with floral greens that seem to vibrate against the illuminated surface of the table. The composition plays with the chromatic contrast in a direct and sensual way: red does not dominate, it dialogues; green does not cool, it illuminates.
Regarding the dish, ripe tomatoes and a white egg introduce a simple, everyday geometry, almost domestic, balanced by the presence of the dark cutlery, tilted as if just used. The pictorial gesture is loose and expressive, revealing the brushstroke and the pleasure of color applied without rigidity, with an almost playful energy.
The title emphasizes that visual paradox: a red that, far from being aggressive, becomes fertile and welcoming thanks to the green that runs through it. The scene, seemingly simple, transforms into a celebration of color and small daily rituals, where the ordinary is elevated through painting.
