The Grebo ethnicity is located at the border of Côte d'Ivoire and Liberia.
They sculpt masks that embody the spirits of the invisible world residing in the forests.
Made by high-grade initiates, these masks appear during rituals reserved for initiates and during more secular celebrations for the general population.
Very good condition, well preserved, with no signs of wear.
