Porsche 911 SC

In the 1978 model year, the 911 range was reduced to two models. The 911 SC (Super Carrera) replaced the 911 and Carrera models.
Since the 1984 model year, the SC version was replaced again by the 911 Carrera.

Frames / door handles
Until the 1978 model year, the 911 SC had chrome window frames and door handles, as in previous 911 models; starting from the 1979 model year, they were anodized black, like in Carrera models.

Circles
The Porsche 911 SC was equipped as standard with 15" ATS alloy wheels.

External rearview mirrors
The external rearview mirrors of the 911 SC were equipped with electric adjustment and were painted in the color of the bodywork.

Motors
The 911 SC was powered by a 3.0-liter boxer engine, whose power was slightly increased over the years.

Carrozzeria
The 911 SC featured a wider body compared to the 911 Carrera. Starting from the 1981 model year, these vehicles can be recognized by the side flashers located behind the front wheel arches.
Starting from the 1983 model year, for the first time, alongside the Coupé and the Targa convertible, a fully open 911 with a fabric roof was available.

Lighthouse frames
The headlight frames of the 911 SC were initially chrome, but starting with the 1979 model year, they were painted in the body color.
