A bundle of quartz crystals that have been completely coated by muscovite and microcrystalline siderite, creating a really interesting surface texture. This piece comes from the classic Portuguese deposit of Panasqueira, a mine developed to exploit a series of tabular veins of Sn–W mineralization that have produced some of the finest sulfide and fluorapatite specimens in the world and definitely from Europe.
