Daughter of art (her father Theo is a well-known Swiss watercolorist), she moved to Ticino at the age of five and later to Verona, where she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts. Since 1981, she has resided in Palermo, where she obtained a chair in engraving techniques at the Academy of Fine Arts. She has taught at the International School of Graphics in Venice and, since 1986, also at the International Center of Graphics in Venice, where she has conducted courses in burin and non-toxic engraving techniques. She has directed engraving and painting workshops at various foreign universities: Rio de Janeiro (PUC University), Mexico City (UNAM University), Merida (Yucatan, Marist University), Barcelona (Faculty of Fine Arts). Since 2005, she has dedicated herself particularly to the Artist's Book.
She has held numerous exhibitions, including in Venice, Palermo, Lugano, Paris, Seoul, Tokyo, New York, Mexico City, Rio de Janeiro, Monaco, Nuremberg, and Bremen. Among those who have written about her are, among others, Antonello Trombadori, Leonardo Sciascia, Gesualdo Bufalino, Vincenzo Consolo, and Enrico Baj.
