Authentic Arts & Crafts Fireside Armchair – Solid Oak – England c.1900
Description
Authentic Arts & Crafts fireside chair from England, made circa 1890–1910.
The chair is made of solid oak and features an original rush seat, crafted using traditional techniques.
Characteristic features include the high slatted back, twisted front legs, and the simple, functional design typical of the Arts & Crafts movement. The low, wide seat originally makes this chair suitable for use by the fireplace.
The chair is in good to very good original condition with a beautiful, honest patina. The frame is sturdy and stable; no cracks or later modifications are visible. Normal signs of use appropriate for age and use.
A decorative and collectible piece of furniture that fits both a classic interior and a modern or minimalist decor.
