Small Mudejar tabernacle cabinet Spain, late 16th–early 17th century Carved walnut, wrought-iron fittings (unpunched), later bun feet. A small Spanish devotional cabinet carved in walnut, the front decorated with a geometric cross in deep faceted relief within a notched border. The plain forged-iron hinges and shaped lockplate reflect the restrained aesthetic of provincial Mudejar craftsmanship. The combination of geometric ornament and austere form is typical of late Mudejar furniture made for ecclesiastical use. The turned bun feet are later additions. Overall in good condition for its age
