AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Laura Muolo, born in 1975, is a Milanese by birth and a Rimini native by adoption. She has been approaching art as a self-taught artist since 2013. Her initial medium is graphite, with which she immediately seeks to achieve the realism of faces, later exploring other mediums such as pastel and painting.
Participates in many group exhibitions across Italy and internationally. Their works are part of various private collections in the United States, Australia, Japan, France, Germany, Belgium, Ireland, and Italy. They have exhibited in three solo shows: at the Teatro Comunale di Montescudo (RN) in August, at the Galleria Arte e Vacanze in Punta Marina di Ravenna (RA) in September 2019, and at the Priori Palace in Volterra in June 2023.
Laura's works are in continuous evolution, driven by an unstoppable quest to explore the meaning of human life events, the transformation they induce in our subconscious, and their remembrance—told and brought to the surface through subtly surreal and often symbolic contexts. Her genre is figurative; indeed, her works communicate through portraits of people who can be immersed in dreamlike landscapes and also express and convey their true thoughts through the projection of their own shadow.
The medium he prefers is oil painting, and he sometimes substitutes it with pastel.
Collaborate with the poetess Nadezhda Giorgieva Slavova for the creation of the cover of her poetry book titled "Notturno," released in late July 2015.
His painting 'Temporal Suggestions' was selected in 2023 by writer Vanessa Albus/Volker Haase (Ed) for the book 'Autobiographical Philosophy at School and University.'
Chosen together with nine other contemporary artists by the direction of the Premio Marchionni to create a work specifically for the exhibition 'Piacere Non sono Io' at the Museo civico Ruzittu in Arzachena – Olbia, to be displayed alongside great masters such as De Chirico, Magritte, Severini, and Sironi from April 21 to July 23, 2023.
Various awards received since 2021: finalist for the Marchionni award in 2021-2022-2023 (the year she also won the touring exhibitions award) and also a finalist in 2024; finalist for the Mestre painting award in 2022 and in 2024 received a merit certificate from the same award in the painting category; winner of the second prize at the Prisma Art Prize in 2021; winner of the Cash Prize at Malamegi Art Rome 2023; winner of the first prize in Painting at the 'Dov’è il futuro' competition organized by the 'La Grande Bellezza di Volterra' gallery in 2023; and in 2022, third prize in the 'Dov’è L’amore' competition. She was also a finalist in the painting section of the Marchionni award in 2024.
