The Akai HX-A451W is a stereo double cassette deck, introduced by Akai in 1986 and discontinued a year later.

The main features of the Akai HX-A451W are:
Electronic band counter with four digits, band type selection supporting standard bands.
Typical double cassette deck with front loader and the cassette compartment on the left side of the deck.
Level meters used on the HX-A451W are generic digital peak meters.
Double cassette deck equipped with Dolby C.

It is equipped with 12 numbers and a continuous operation function of 15 programs, and you can specify the order of up to 15 programs with a single press of a button on the front panel with 12 keys. It features a random program editing function via direct input method. With this function, you can copy from the I-deck to the II-deck with one press of a button by simply pressing the sequence of numbers you want to copy. You can also select two types of editing speeds: low speed and double speed.
