The Panton chair is a classic in the history of furniture design. Designed by Verner Panton in 1960, the chair was developed in 1967 for mass production as part of the collaboration between Panton and Vitra. It was the first chair made entirely from a single piece of plastic. Since its market launch, it has undergone various production stages. Only since 1999 has it been possible to manufacture the chair according to its original concept: made from durable plastic, which is painted down to the core and features a glossy, matte finish.
