Description from the seller
AMA • Pope (1985) – 'Crucifuck' – 2/30
Sex. Latex. Faith.
Three universes clashing in a pop and sacrilegious cry.
Here is 'Crucifuck'.
A thick, glossy black cross like vinyl.
A small yellow duck placed at the center – both childish and unsettling.
Under the shine of black, the contours evoke latex, condoms, finger cots… everything that caresses and transgresses at the same time.
Innocence becomes a fetish. Faith becomes a fantasy.
The Pope here is playing with the ultimate religious symbol by desecrating it with a dose of pleasure, provocation, and biting humor.
Crucifuck explores the troubled boundary between the sacred and the carnal, the ritual and the perversion, the toy and the taboo.
Each crucifix is handmade, crafted from deep black epoxy, with a duck fixed at the center of the cross.
The finishes are deliberately shiny, almost 'wet look,' to evoke the fetishistic and sensual aesthetic of latex.
A limited edition of 30 copies at the boundary between the sacred and the sensual.
A wink to fetishism, faith, and all that we dare not mix.

Indeed, AMA pursues its passion for urban art through street art and pop art creations (limited edition or not), covering a wide range of themes such as cryptocurrencies (bitcoin, ethereum), the dollar, money, gold, wealth, the sex industry, drug abuse, luxury and haute couture brands, the world of comics and video games, the pharmaceutical industry and medications, recycling and upcycling, as well as products from the agro-food and fashion industries (sports, sneakers...).
Brands guide our choices and often our lives without us realizing it. Aware of this impact, AMA likes to playfully reinterpret labels such as Louis Vuitton (LV), Chanel, Dior, Hermès, Prada, Gucci, Rolex, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Supreme, Obey, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG, Mercedes, Nike (Air Jordan), Adidas (Stan Smith), Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Marvel and Avengers (Batman, Joker, Superman...), Disney (Mickey, Scrooge...), Nintendo, Sega, Tintin, Lego, Pokemon, Vans, and many others.
