AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Overview/Conditions
Magnificent specimen of Jaguar XJS 3.6 manual in the rare red color with tobacco interiors.

The car presents very well externally. It has no scratches or marks to highlight. The paint is solid and shiny, and apart from a small cut near the arrow on the front right fender, the entire exterior is in excellent condition. There is no rust, and a check has shown no accidents involving the car. No repairs or repainted parts are present.
The bumpers are very healthy, as are the tires present on them. The lighting works well, both front and rear. All the seals are intact and in good condition. The glassware, which is original, functions without defects. Under the car, it appears healthy with very good floors and a complete absence of rust.

Technically, the car has not shown any problems of any kind. The engine starts well even when cold, the car brakes effectively, and the manual transmission has no issues with gear engagement and functions properly. The clutch is still in good condition, as are the tires. The car has no leaks, and the engine maintains a good idle. We performed a check of all fluids, and the oil filter and engine oil were replaced approximately 2,000 km ago. However, a further and more thorough check-up is recommended before putting the vehicle on the road, along with a general service.

Inside, the leather takes over. The upholstery is truly well preserved, the seats are comfortable and enveloping, the woods and plastics are intact, and there are no tears or damages to report. The dashboard is in good condition with not the slightest sign of aging, the carpet is in excellent shape and a nice brown color, and the door panels are intact both in paintwork and interior upholstery, with all the leather coverings completely healthy and tear-free. The condition of the vehicle is evident from the door cuts, as well as from the door trims, which are intact and even, one of them still has the cellophane from when it left the dealership.

Disclaimer

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
