Brema is a single sheet from Civitates Orbis Terrarum (circa 1580) by Braun & Hogenberg, depicting Bremen with city walls, harbour facilities, mills and churches, printed in Latin and German, in good condition and framed in an early 20th‑century frame; sheet size about 11 × 23 cm with the frame measuring 24 × 37 cm.

Rare overall view of the city of Bremen, dated around 1580. Authentic original sheet from the 16th century.
The depiction shows Bremen from an elevated perspective with rich detail. Visible are the enclosed city fortifications, the harbor facilities on the Weser, mills, churches, and numerous secular buildings. The most important buildings are labeled. Particularly noteworthy is the detailed representation of the economic infrastructure and the harbor area, which makes the document a significant source of the city's and economic history.
Old colored. Good age-appropriate condition. Minimal crease on the right edge (see illustration), otherwise clean and well preserved.
The piece is housed in an unopened, period-appropriate frame from the early 20th century.
