Antique Arts and Crafts side table dated 1890–1910, with a beech and ebony top edged in fine reed and a twig base, originating from the United Kingdom and in good used condition.
Description from the seller
Antique Arts and Crafts side table dated 1890-1910, most likely of English origin.
A unique and unusual piece of furniture that is sure to spark many conversations.
The tabletop consists of a combination of beech and ebony wood, with a finish on the top side in very fine reed / trim (intact).
The frame is made of twigs, although it is not exactly clear to us which type of twigs has been used.
The overall condition of this special piece of furniture is very good; the wood connections are as desired, and all original screws are present.
We do find some imperfections (see the last 5 photos for reference).
At two or three places, a very small piece of bark is missing from a twig on the base.
The border made of rattan or reed around the tabletop is slightly damaged on one short side, and the other short side is missing a piece approximately 10 centimeters long.
At the underside of the table top, three small damages are visible on the edges of the wood.
The imperfections above are absolutely not disruptive, and any restoration should be relatively easy to carry out.
Depth; approximately 42 centimeters.
Depth of tabletop; 35 centimeters.
Height: 74 centimeters.
Weight: approximately 3.7 kilograms.
This special side table will be carefully packaged and shipped insured by us with the utmost care and attention.
Pickup possible in Anna Paulowna (North Holland province).
