Description from the seller
Beomaster 3000/2
Built from 1969 to 1975.
Status: I tested it today, unfortunately only with AKG headphones and only the radio part, as I don't have a device to test with and no speakers.
The potentiometers are making a bit of crackling noise and need some contact spray.
Because I am selling it for a friend.
The device has been stored in a cabinet for over 90 years.
The volume slider is somewhat worn out, see pictures.
Otherwise, generally good and unverbalized condition.
Original antenna and user manual are included.
Please carefully examine the pictures so that there are no misunderstandings later.
This legendary Bang & Olufsen Beomaster 3000-2 amplifier/tuner was manufactured in the 1970s. Designed by Jacob Jensen, the 3000-2 stands out for its robust design with an aluminum front panel and a solid teak wood case. The case and front panel are made of solid teak wood and solid aluminum, respectively, and are in very good condition. All sliders are complete and operate smoothly.
This unit has been serviced, and the components typically prone to wear have been replaced. Therefore, the device is fully functional and offers excellent sound quality. A faint mechanical humming from the transformer is typical for these models but is not audible through the speakers. It features two phono/DIN sockets with RIAA equalization for turntables, as well as inputs and outputs for cassette tapes. The FM tuner includes manual station search and six station presets. Two pairs of speakers can be connected, and a headphone output is also available. The impressive array of switches includes high- and low-pass filters, a loudness function, and automatic frequency control (AFC) for FM radio. All indicator lights for stereo, operation, and fine-tuning work perfectly.
Dimensions: width 58 cm, height 9.5 cm, depth 26 cm. Weight: 8.5 kg.
A classic Beomaster that is highly sought after by collectors and still very functional today.
