Detailed description
Elegant centerpiece stand consisting of a transparent engraved glass bowl, supported by a refined architectural structure in silvered metal, with fluted columns and rich decoration in botanical motifs.
The upper cup is made of thick glass, decorated with star-shaped geometric engravings along both the rim and the base, typical of late 19th–early 20th century production. The shaped edge gives movement and lightness to the whole.
The supporting structure features a circular base decorated with a frieze of vine tendrils and leaves, also echoed in the band beneath the capital. The columns, arranged symmetrically, are joined by ornamental elements that evoke a neoclassical taste with Liberty (Art Nouveau) influences, very widespread in European decorative productions of the early twentieth century.
A decorative piece with a striking presence, ideal as a centerpiece, display riser, or decorative element for classical and eclectic interiors.
The item is complete with all of its main components, but the fixing screw that enables the final locking of the metal parts is missing. The components are nonetheless present and separable, as shown in the photograph.

Conditions
Fair to good condition, consistent with age and use. Metal with a patina of age, light oxidation and signs of wear. The glass plate has several chips, as shown in the photographs.
The screw for fastening the metal parts is missing. The structure is not definitively assembled due to the lack of the fastener.
The photographs are an integral part of the description and clearly show the condition of the object and the modularity of the parts.

Curiosity
Modular risers were widespread from the late 19th century to the early 20th century, as they allowed easy maintenance and a dramatic presentation of the table setting. Today they are appreciated both as decorative objects and as items for salvage or light restoration.
