Georges De Geetere (1868-1924) - Love

Georges De Geetere (1868-1924) was a Belgian artist. He was an etcher, painter, and illustrator. De Geetere studied under the guidance of the famous academic artist Jean-Léon Gérôme at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. De Geetere's work was influenced by the Symbolist movement, emphasizing the mystical and ideal aspects of life and art, rather than objective reality. His work is haunting, dreamlike, featuring themes of love, death, and inner emotions. De Geetere was part of a vibrant artistic community in Paris during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, "a period that was rich in artistic experimentation and innovation." Throughout his career, he exhibited his works in various salons and galleries. We are offering for sale this extremely beautiful museum piece by the aforementioned painter. Its wonderful specialty is that it radiates love, but not the usual kind like in general romantic paintings, but rather it provides a completely real feeling. The size of the work without the east is 64 x 54 cm. It is in absolutely flawless condition, it comes from a distinguished family inheritance in Belgium, where it was regularly maintained. Its origin can be traced, it came to us through auction. The artwork is still in its original antique frame, a heavy oak frame with minor flaws. There is a small piece of it falling off one corner, it's not really disturbing because it disappears into the beautiful view. This special flame brush style painting has various prices at auction houses ranging from 500 to 20,000 euros. We can post it carefully packaged, in an insured, registered package.
