Description from the seller
Set of 33 glasses from various brands, including: Photo 4 - set of 4 sturdy crystal flutes from the late 19th century by Baccarat – Saint Louis model Caton, produced in France. The Caton shape features a stem with a knop, a flat vertical bowl, and a circular foot: these glasses are not stamped but are visible in the Saint Louis – Baccarat catalog. They are unsigned, as older productions before 1936 were not signed. The only authentication method was through paper labels attached underneath the glasses, which are now rare on old productions. This service dates back to the second half of the 19th century. Dimensions: height 18.4 cm x diameter 6 cm. Photo 5 - three bistrot-style aperitif glasses by Tantalo, a playful type of glass known for its ability to empty completely when filled beyond a certain level. It was invented by Erone of Alexandria in the 1st century BC to demonstrate the siphon principle and the action of atmospheric pressure, characterized by a stemmed base and a conical-shaped cup with petal decorations. These antique glasses are often made of blown glass and may have imperfections such as air bubbles. Dimensions: height 14.3/13.2/12.9 cm x diameter 8.5/8.8/7.7 cm. Photo 9 - heavy mouth-blown, hand-cut, and diamond-cut crystal flute, with 24-carat gold inlay on the rim, worked with engraved foliate scrolls. Condition: circa 1900/1910. Made by Theresienthal glassworks, a Bavarian crystal manufacturer since 1836. Located in the heart of the Bavarian Forest, the small workshop continues to produce interpretations of its historic glass collections, all handmade and unsigned (antique production). The item is in good condition with minor gold wear. Dimensions: height 19.3 cm x diameter 5.9 cm. Photo 12 - upper crystal glass by Cristalleria Europa, produced in Tuscany with a modern line. The solid crystal base is 3.5 cm high and contains a central cylindrical air bubble. Ideal for serving whiskey, soft drinks, and long drinks. Dimensions: height 167.3 cm and ∅ 6.9 cm. Photo 14 - wine glass height 21 cm x diameter 7.2 cm, made of high-quality transparent mouth-blown crystal, hand-molted, marked on the circular base with acid etching and a brown adhesive label bearing the producer's name from Slovenia: Rogaska. Design: balloon shape, suitable for decanting. Rogaska is a luxury crystal brand known for its high quality and craftsmanship. One of the most prestigious crystal producers worldwide, with a rich heritage of ancestors in the area. The products are still handcrafted, with master glassmakers using advanced technology. Also known in the entertainment industry, Rogaška crystal features in many Hollywood films, and Slovenian musicians eagerly compete for signed Rogaška trophies at music festivals. Photo 17 - wine glass in crystal with gold rim, produced by the Neapolitan glassworks Fratelli Fumo in the 1980s. Dimensions: height 17.3 cm x 6.3 cm. Photo 19 - two tall flute glasses height 19.4 cm x 9.2 cm, made of transparent hand-cut crystal. Marked with the German producer label: Scherzer 1880, as indicated by the visible mark on the adhesive. Features a square design and truncated cone shape. A collectible item or home decor. History: the factory was founded in 1880 as Porzellanfabrik Zeh, Scherzer & Cie., initiated by Johann Nicol Adam Zeh, known as Hans, as a general partnership, dissolved in 1992, acquired by the financial investor Allerthal-Werke under the name Scherzer & Co. AG. Factory building in Rehau around 1900. Photo 22 - two Bohemian crystal flutes with decorative floral engraving from the 1980s.
