Brass chandelier in antique style, estimated to be from the first half of the 20th century.
Description from the seller
Empire revival style chandelier, with a typical basket-shaped form (cage/basket).
Estimated production period between 1900 and 1950.
From the constructive and decorative elements — cage frame with vertical rods, droplet pendants in frosted glass, flower-shaped bobeche (small dishes for candle holders), and a chain with glass beads — the production is consistent with late 19th to early 20th-century European artifacts, typical of the Empire style revisited for noble interiors.
Main details
Six candle arms with a brass bobeche shaped like a stamped floral corolla.
Central basket/cage structure made of vertical brass rods with a gold finish.
Double decorative loop of faceted frosted glass beads framing the body.
Drop-shaped pendants in frosted transparent glass.
Two suspension chains embellished with glass beads (a typical Empire motif).
Warm and natural patina of the gold finishes, compatible with the estimated age.
Conditions
Good vintage/antique condition with normal signs of aging.
Original and present glass elements, with possible micro-chipping compatible with age.
Outdated/non-tested electrical system: a professional inspection is recommended before installation.
