Description from the seller
This is a silkscreen print by Michail Grobman (born 1939, Moscow), an artist and poet. In the sixties, he was an active member of the Second Russian Avant-Garde. In 1971, he emigrated to Israel, where he founded the artists' group and art magazine Leviathan in 1975.
Grobman works with various media, including collage, painting, installation, and object art. The use of text plays a central role in his work. He writes minimalist poems and so-called visual verses, composed of elements such as newspaper and magazine headlines, and transforms old book covers into poetic images.
