Mircea Ciobanu (pseudonym of Mircea Sandu) (born June 13, 1940, Bucharest - died April 22, 1996, Bucharest) was a Romanian painter, poet, prose writer, and essayist. He was the best apprentice of Corneliu Baba. The present work is a sketch, an oil painting on cardboard. A very beautiful piece, worthy of being part of a collection of Romanian painters. In France, he was promoted by the one who had brought fame to the painter Marc Chagall. Ciobanu was and remains highly appreciated in Switzerland.
