Description from the seller

Old silver hair comb, red coral, pearls, and galalith – late 19th century / later composition

Beautiful antique solid silver comb (acid tested), dating from the late 19th century, adorned with a decorative composition probably added later.

The frame, elegant and fine, is topped with a branch of natural red coral, on which three black pearls are attached, presumably cultured freshwater pearls.
A delicate butterfly made of galalith (a material typical of the early 20th century) completes the composition. Its glass paste eyes imitate turquoise, adding a touch of poetry and refinement to the whole.

This piece combines the charm of antique jewelry with the creative spirit of decorative recomposition.
A unique object, both a testament to artisanal craftsmanship and a collectible piece.
