Etruscan Votive Hand Culture: Etruscan Date: 4th century B.C. Description: Terracotta votive fragment representing a human hand, modeled with the fingers closed and the thumb slightly protruding along the side. Compact pale orange clay with small dark inclusions, typical of central Italic production. The surface shows minor ancient wear and a natural burial patina. These anatomical ex-votos were dedicated in healing sanctuaries to invoke divine protection or express gratitude for recovery of the corresponding body part. Dimensions: Height 101 mm; Width 40 mm. Condition: Good condition, with minor edge wear and no modern restoration. Surface stable with authentic mineral deposits. Provenance: Ex Moshe Dayan collection , Israel : ez harvith collection, MI acquired in 1970
