Description from the seller
This is a Dutch Baroque cabinet; a cushion cabinet or curved drawer cabinet.
Under-closet with curved ('bombé') load
Top cabinet with two doors
Heavy profiled cornice with crest.
This is a classic Dutch cabinet.
Probable date 1800–1850, Louis Philippe
Symmetrical bronze handles (still quite heavy and understated)
Wooden construction of the upper cabinet (not a fixed shelf cabinet)
The upper cabinet originally served partly as a clothing or linen storage.
Outside: walnut wood.
Interior: pine (spruce/fir) (typical Dutch)
• Buttons/pens: hardwood, original
This contrast is indeed a sign of authenticity.
In excellent condition. Minor signs of use on the drawers.
Note: No shipping; pickup only in Dordrecht, Netherlands.
