Description from the seller
Welcome to Passion d'Orient:
Konya is a city of approximately 330,000 inhabitants, the capital of the eponymous province, located about 1,000 meters above sea level in the upper basin of the Çarsamba River, in central Anatolia. Its bazaar is an important center where you can find carpets from all over Central Anatolia, often mistakenly called by this name. Carpet production is very diverse; among those made in contemporary times, many are decorated with geometric designs, entirely woven in wool with a symmetrical knot of moderate density, with relatively high pile and subdued colors. Carpets decorated with prayer niche motifs are also common, as can be seen in many other parts of Anatolia.
Construction: Hand-knotted
Thickness: approximately 8 mm
Age: Circa 1950
Origin: Turkey
Velvet: Wool
Chain: Wool
Knotting density: approximately 220,000 knots/m².
Remarks: 100% natural colors - village work - wear.
This rug has been environmentally hand-cleaned according to tradition; you can use this rug immediately.
Fast and secure shipping with GLS/UPS. Includes a tracking number to locate your package at any time!
Additional costs to be expected for shipments to islands (Corsica, Sicily, Sardinia, Madeira...).
