The NAD Model 120 is a classic, solid-state AM/FM stereo receiver introduced in the mid-1970s. With its elegant, understated design — featuring a clean front panel with brushed metal finish and wooden side panels — it is representative of NAD’s early philosophy: high-performance audio in a minimalist, no-frills package.
This receiver blends reliable engineering with musical warmth. Its amplifier section employs directly coupled output stages, giving a flat, linear frequency response and excellent bass dynamics. The tuner section is thoughtfully designed: it includes a 3-gang variable capacitor with low-noise FET, two FETs in the RF/mixing stages, and phase-linear ceramic filters in the IF amplifier — all of which contribute to its stable, clear reception.

To deliver this product properly, it is carefully packed in very strong boxes, thereby wrapped in bubble wrap with lots of padding.
