Tea caddy/ box - Porcelain - Kangxi (1662-1722)
Attractive blue and white Chinese porcelain tea caddy, made in Jingdezhen during the Kangxi period (1662–1722). The vessel is decorated with a pheasant perched on a rock amid flowering plants. The marked silver mounting is a later Dutch addition, dating to the early 20th century.
Condition: good, apart from a clean, short and hardly visible hairline crack (indicated in the photographs).
Origin: private Dutch collection
