Brass and ceramic table oil lamp from circa 1850–1900, made in Italy, with 12 cm depth, 12 cm width and 48 cm height, in good used condition with small signs of age and not in working order.
Description from the seller
Late 19th – early 20th century oil table lamp, made of turned brass with a white opal glass reservoir and a cylindrical clear glass chimney. The piece fully reflects the taste and functionality of domestic lighting of the era, when the oil lamp was an essential element of daily furnishings.
The brass base features an elegant, well-proportioned turning, with an original patina that testifies to the age and authenticity of the object. The burner is complete, with a decorated ring and wick regulator, while the opaline glass reservoir diffused a soft, even light, typical of nineteenth- and early-twentieth-century historical interiors.
The lamp is stable, harmonious in its proportions, and has a strong decorative impact, ideal for both collectors of historic lighting and as a furnishing element in classic settings, studies, libraries, or eclectic interiors.
The condition is good, with signs of wear consistent with its age and use, with no obvious damage; the glass is intact. A fascinating and authentic object, capable of evoking the atmosphere of days gone by.
Proper packaging and traceable shipping across Europe.
