Nu assis is a mixed media on paper by Bruno Martini (1911–1979), Italy, dating to 1960–1970, 62 x 67.5 cm framed, signed on the lower right, original edition and sold with frame in good condition.

Mixed media on paper, signed Bruno Martini at the bottom right.
Dimensions: 40 x 48 cm (on view), frame included: 62 x 67.5 cm.
The work is in very good condition; however, the gilded frame shows some defects.
Bruno Martini was born in Murano (Venice) in 1911 and died in 1979 in Venice.
He exhibited at all regional and interregional exhibitions from 1930 to 1947. In 1937, he won an award at the 'Fadiga' competition of the Venice Academy, where he studied. He participated in the Rome Quadriennale in 1938 and the Venice Biennale in 1941.
Many solo and group exhibitions in major Italian cities:
the Quadriennale of Rome in 1938 and the Venice Biennale in 1941;
individual exhibitions in Venice in 1943, 1944, 1945, in Bergamo in 1946 and 1947, in Brescia in 1956.
In Trieste in 1957, in Rome in 1958;
Individual exhibitions abroad: Malmö 1949, Stockholm 1951-52, Helsingborg 1951, Sundsvall 1952, Geneva 1952, New York 1959.
Beyond the aforementioned countries, her work is present in many private collections, notably in France and Israel.
Works completed: altarpieces for the Cavanis Institute in Venice; frescoes in the San Biagio Church in Lendinara (Romania); two frescoes, 'Music' and 'Love,' at the Palazzo Morosini in Venice in 1961.
Her Venetian visions, inspired by the 18th century, are famous in the art world.
