Seiko DP692T flip clock in plastic, made in Japan, in good used condition with minor signs of aging, powered electrically with power on confirmed, dimensions approx. 9 cm high × 17.5 cm wide × 9.5 cm deep.
Description from the seller
This is an original SEIKO flip clock, model DP-692T, produced in Japan during the Showa period (circa 1970s / AD 1970s), a golden age of Japanese industrial design.
Featuring the iconic mechanical flip (“flip clock” or pata-pata) display, this clock embodies the bold, functional aesthetics that made SEIKO a global leader in timekeeping. The vivid red body combined with a black front panel gives it a strong mid-century modern and space-age presence, making it not only a practical clock but also a striking interior design object.
The large, high-contrast numerals ensure excellent legibility, while the smooth flipping motion offers a tactile and nostalgic experience unique to electromechanical clocks. The top-mounted alarm switch and side adjustment dial reflect thoughtful, user-oriented Japanese design of the era.
The power supply has been tested and the clock is running. However, the long-term accuracy of timekeeping has not been tested and cannot be guaranteed.
This model operates on AC power and is equipped with a 50/60Hz selector, allowing stable operation in different regions.
As visible in the photos, there are signs of age such as surface scratches, wear, and label deterioration, consistent with a vintage item and contributing to its authentic character.
Highly sought after by collectors of vintage clocks, Japanese design, and retro interiors, this SEIKO flip clock represents a timeless intersection of technology, design, and everyday life.
