Peugeot - Bicycle - 1965

This vintage Peugeot sport bike is a family heirloom from my wife’s grandfather, who lived for ten years in the village of Feytiat in France. He was a fan of the cyclist Raymond Poulidor, who lived in Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat. The grandfather was very proud of and protective of his vintage Peugeot bike, which he had bought in the late fifties of the last century. He hardly rode it, though. For him it was more of a showpiece, partly because Peugeot as a brand had a professional cycling team at that time.

The bicycle is, without a doubt, in its original, splendid, and excellent condition. A well-functioning derailleur (12 speeds) with two gear shifters at the handlebars, a luggage rack, attractive rims and tires, good lighting, a dynamo, a kickstand, etc. See attached photos!

Additional information about the bike: the length is 170 cm; the height, measured from the handlebars, is 100 cm; the handlebar width is 49 cm. The saddle is height-adjustable and is suitable for cyclists with a body height of 160 cm to 200 cm. The tire size is (23-622) 700x23C. The weight of the bike is 14 kg

A unique opportunity for collectors, other enthusiasts, and certainly also for shops that sell bicycles and Peugeot car dealerships (as a beautiful and unique eye-catcher) to purchase this wonderful vintage bicycle. But of course ALSO to ride it.

The PREFERRED option is for PICK-UP of the bicycle, but perhaps it is also possible to send it to the buyer. This does require further exploration and discussions/agreements between the seller and the buyer.

At shipment, the packaging and shipping costs (to be determined later) are the responsibility of the BUYER. Catawiki requires that the shipping fields be completed by the seller. Consequently, the shipping costs may not correspond to the actual shipping costs! However, the buyer must pay the actual (true) shipping costs!!

ATTENTION: the bicycle is only sold to bidders in Europe. The seller reserves the right not to accept a bid LOWER THAN 350 euros and not to deliver this fine sport bicycle. The limit amount has, during a previous sale action at the urging of Catawiki (as a condition for posting the advertisement), been adjusted to 100 euros by the seller. We will assess whether Catawiki, in the interest of the seller and the bidders, now accepts the limit amount of 350 euros so that with a highest bid below 350 euros the buyer does not face the disappointment that the seller will not deliver.

An independent expert and authority in the field of vintage bicycles has estimated the value at 700 euros.
