Medieval Glazed Islamic Bowl, a 10th‑century Islamic ceramic bowl that has been restored, with a 18 cm diameter, acquired from an auction house in France in 2024 and provenance from an old French private collection.
Description from the seller
Medieval Islamic art. Near East, Persia , Nishapur, ca. 10th century CE. An elegant, ceramic bowl with a wide disc base and flaring walls. The decoration is with geometric motives radiated from the centre - a band of dots around the interior rim and a stylized bird in tondo - painted in a deep blue-based pigment against a creamy white glazed background. Restored, repaired clean breaks.

Provenance.: Old French private collection. A.G. 1992-2022.
