Description from the seller
Set of 4 Antique Wooden Chairs – 19th Century – Europe
⸻
Description
Set of four antique wooden chairs, dating from the 19th century, of European origin.
The chairs are crafted from solid hardwood and feature a classic 19th-century design with curved backrests, decorative carved central splats, and turned front legs. The proportions, construction, and detailing are typical of European seating furniture from the second half of the 1800s.
The seats are upholstered; the upholstery is later replacement, which is common for furniture of this age. The wooden frames retain a warm patina developed through decades of use, with visible signs of age consistent with authentic antique furniture.
The chairs form a matching set of four, which is increasingly difficult to find, making them suitable both for use and for collectors of 19th-century furniture.
