Mid century hanging lamp in brass and opaline glass. Certainly one of the largest opaline lampshades that it was feasible to make, 40cm diameter. Cream coloured with cloud or tortoise like verre de clichy effect in the glass. This lampshade originally sported a tassel, which can be seen fitted in some photos above although we did not think this improved the presentation. The brass gallery is attached to a brass pole and brass ceiling rose. The pole has adjustable height. Unextended the pole is 45cm long (total with lampshade 70cm). The pole can be extended from 45 to 75cm, The opaline is in fine condition with no chips etc. The brass work is in fine condition.
