Description from the seller
Here is a magnificent two-piece centerpiece, signed by the prestigious French silversmith DUROUSSEAU & RAYNAUD in Lyon. This incredible piece features a profusion of intricate details on its silvered base and its crystal plate. The underside of the base bears the famous D.R Durousseau & Raynaud hallmark as well as a silver content mark of 15 Gr..
Durousseau & Raynaud, Goldsmiths in Lyon, from 1927.
This impressive piece is in superb vintage condition, with a shine that’s exceptional for its age, because it was mostly kept in the display cabinet of a piece of furniture owned by my parents who lived in Lyon. So you’re buying a piece with history and soul.
The crystal bowl shows no chipping or cracking; traces of use, tarnishing, and areas of gold-colored metal are visible on the silvery base, a few tiny scratches on the bottom of the bowl; the structure is solid and dent-free, however one screw is missing from the underside of the bowl which does not interfere in any way.
Dimensions and weight: Total weight: 1.6 KG / 3.5 Lb
Height: 18.5 cm / 7.2"
Maximum width: 30.5 cm / 11.9 in.
It will be packed with the utmost care for shipping purposes.
P.S.: I'm not a professional, so I tried to describe this object with as much precision as possible and with photos.
