Description from the seller
Antique brass candle holder decorated with cloisonné enamel from the late 19th to early 20th century.
Old brass hand candlestick resting on a wide circular plate decorated with rich polychrome cloisonné enamel. The decoration features stylized floral motifs, foliage, and grape clusters, arranged symmetrically, with colors separated by fine metal partitions characteristic of the cloisonné technique.
The central barrel, turned in brass, is removable and screwed, and holds a standard candle. A side handle allows for grasping, typical of old portable candlesticks.
The enameled surface displays a beautiful shine with slight signs of use consistent with age, without any major chips. The brass retains a warm, antique patina, highlighting the piece's authenticity.
An antique decorative object, elegant and refined, ideal for classic or eclectic decor.
Good overall condition for an antique object from the late 19th or early 20th century. The cloisonné enamel decoration is well preserved and legible. There are some micro-surface scratches and very slight irregularities visible upon close inspection. No major chips or missing enamel are observed. The brass has an even, aged patina with traces of use and fine scratches consistent with its age. No significant deformations. The removable candlestick holder shows no abnormal play, the threading is functional, and the side handle is solid. See the photos, which are part of the description.
