Leica III + Jupiter-8, 35mm film, LSM/LTM mount, serial 130381, circa 1930–1940, physical condition fair; sold as‑is and requires professional servicing, with a Soviet Jupiter-8 lens.
Description from the seller
Leica III – 1934 – Working – CLA Recommended – Soviet Lens
For sale is a Leica III rangefinder camera from 1934, as shown in the photos.
The camera is functional and has been tested with film, producing images. However, due to its age, it requires careful cleaning and lubrication (CLA) for optimal performance.
Condition
• The camera is in working condition, with visible signs of use and age on the body (please see photos for details).
• The shutter curtain was restored at some point. It is light-tight (no light leaks observed), but its appearance is not aesthetically perfect.
• Slow shutter speeds are sluggish and do not run consistently — this will require attention from a qualified technician.
• Rangefinder and basic camera functions operate, but the camera has not been recently serviced.
Lens
• The lens is a Soviet-made lens (not original Leica).
• Optically clean, with good glass for its age.
• Cosmetically worn, consistent with use and age, exactly as visible in the images.
Additional Notes
• Camera has been film-tested and works, but it is sold as-is, with the clear understanding that it needs professional servicing.
• Ideal for a collector, Leica enthusiast, or someone looking for a restoration / CLA project.
• Serial numbers and internal details are visible in the photos.
Please review all images carefully, as they are part of the description.
