Description from the seller

Beautiful antique knife and fork box set, comprising 6 knives and 6 forks, presented in its original wooden case with a burgundy velvet interior.

The metal parts are silver-plated by electrolysis (EP – Electro Plated), as indicated by the hallmarks visible on the cutlery.

The ivory-colored handles are made of Bakelite (or old phenolic resin), a material widely used in the early 20th century as a replacement for ivory.

The decorated hoops and the overall style are typical of English production from the early 20th century (around 1910–1930).
