Description from the seller
These dark oak side tables are a beautiful addition to a Japandi or minimalist styled interior. They can be conveniently stacked together to save space. They can also be grouped to serve as, for example, a coffee table.
Origin: Netherlands 1950 - 1970
60 cm width x 32 cm height x 40 cm
44 cm width x 27 cm height x 32 cm
29 cm width x 23 cm height x 26 cm
Weight 12 kg
These tables are sought after for their timelessness and functionality: The design from the 60s/70s is functional and features a sleek, minimalist aesthetic that was popular during the Mid Century Modern (MCM) period. The visible wood grain and the robust finish emphasize the natural state of the material. The natural state of the material highlights MCM, but brutalism is also applicable here. 'Brutalism' in furniture refers to an emphasis on raw, unfinished materials and massive, sculptural forms. The use of solid oak contributes to a heavy and durable appearance. The simple, rectangular shape and thick legs emphasize the structure of the piece itself, which is also characteristic of brutalist designs. The legs of these tables are not straight down as usual, but are angled slightly outward, giving this set a playful effect. Additionally, the edges of all tabletops are beveled, resulting in a more high-quality finish.
The tables fit together, but can be arranged in various ways. Please see the photos for examples, as well as for the condition of the tables. There is no water damage or other serious damage. There are signs of use, a dent, and a scratch. They are solid oak tables that can withstand a bump and have experienced minimal wear over the years. All tables are photographed separately and together, so you can get an idea of these nest tables yourself. The photos are part of the description.
The tables will be carefully packed and shipped insured.
