The design features reaction-diffusion patterns that mimic the natural growth processes that create coral’s hypnotic textures. the used algorithm captures the interplay of different chemical morphogens spreading and reacting, similar to how coral polyps gradually build their calcium carbonate structures.
The lampshade is made of a warm white corn starch-based biopolymer and is biodegradable according to ISO 14855. It can be easily separated from the base of the lamp thanks to its magnetic connection and is robust and waterproof, making it easy to clean. The lamp is equipped with an E14 lamp socket, an EU plug and an extra warm white, energy-efficient 230V LED.
