Overview/Conditions
This RS 2000 Mk2 remained stationary in the warehouse dismantled from 1998 to 2015.
FIA CERTIFICATE 007895. Original odometer reading from new: 67,800 km.
Vehicle in excellent condition both in terms of maintenance and conservation restoration started in 2021, with reassembly certified in 2023 for both regularity and sports categories.
Bodywork in excellent condition with paint maintained over time and not redone, with only the essential welds for the rally car reinforcements. The engine has been rebuilt to new and increased to 165 hp, mounted in the car with a 5-speed gearbox, a rear limited-slip differential, and a shorter conical pair.
The entire chassis and braking system have been refurbished, with upgraded front brakes and a hydraulic handbrake, practically all new. Cold and hot starting are both excellent. Steel exhaust pipe with a diameter of 60 mm by Giordano.
Interior conditions are excellent with original seats preserved, installation of a cage roll-bar, and addition of all the necessary instrumentation for rally or regularity sports. Complete revision of the entire electrical system with the addition of supplementary headlights for excellent nighttime visibility.
Eventually available separately, a second engine with 145 hp, also fully rebuilt, valued at approximately €9,500.
Equipped with 8-inch rims with tires, including summer tires, and 4 standard rims with winter tires, all completely new. (Additional rims available upon request.)
